ABOUT ME
Wholehearted Commitment
My work is rooted in presence, connection, and a genuine love for helping people live meaningful lives. Before becoming a Recreation Therapist, I built my career in recreation and luxury hospitality—experiences that taught me the value of attentiveness, adaptability, and creating environments where people feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
Having grown up on Vancouver's North Shore, lived in the Canadian Rockies, and spent time living in Europe, I've come to appreciate that well-being looks different for everyone. Some people find peace in nature, others through creativity, conversation, movement, or simply sharing a quiet moment with someone they trust. Those experiences shaped not only how I see the world, but how I approach my work: with curiosity, flexibility, and deep respect for each person's unique story.
To me, Recreation Therapy is about so much more than activities. It's about preserving identity, fostering confidence, encouraging independence, and creating opportunities for joy and connection, regardless of age or diagnosis. Meaningful recreation can reduce isolation, support cognitive and physical wellness, strengthen relationships, and help people continue engaging in the things that make life feel fulfilling.
I believe the most impactful support begins with genuine relationships. I strive to create a space where individuals feel safe, respected, and understood—where there is no pressure to perform or "be who they once were." Instead, I meet people exactly where they are, celebrating their strengths while honouring their experiences, preferences, and goals.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and connected. It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families, helping create meaningful moments that bring comfort, purpose, laughter, and a greater quality of life.
